It was a struggle to reach Lake Logipi in Kenya’s Rift Valley south of Lake Turkana. During a period of six hours I only managed to drive 10 km in the first gear low with my Land Cruiser. Finally the track got so bad that the journey ended 5 km away from the lake shore. To top off the bad luck there was only a very small patch of rock-free terrain where I could take off with my powered paraglider. In the end everything worked out extremely well and I enjoyed one of the most beautiful experiences I ever had while cruising in the sky for 2 hours. Below me a large flock of lesser flamingos gathered in form of a perfect circle leaving behind visible trails in the shallow water.
