Description
A lone elephant bull is walking in front of giant dunes in a dry river bed at the northern Skeleton Coast in Namibia. I had seen the relatively fresh tracks near my camp when I woke up and assumed the giant had passed by during the night. I followed the tracks towards the coast and not long after I saw the elephant walking back the way he came from. It seemed to me like he did this hike just for fun to see the Atlantic Ocean as there was nothing for him to feed on.
