I photographed Flying Elegance while on assignment for Wild Wonders of Europe.
Each year some 10,000 greater flamingo couples nest on the Étang du Fangassier in the Camargue. A 4000-sq-mile artificial island, constructed in 1970 as a flamingo-breeding colony, is one of the rare spots in Europe that guarantees the flamingo protection from predators. I spent 3 weeks photographing these beautiful birds while I was on assignment for the project “Wild Wonders of Europe”.
The Flying Elegance black and white fine art print has a limited edition of only 100. Most other fine art photographers have a much higher limited edition number.
