Description
Not far away from my home in the Yukon was a shallow, wind-swept lake without snow cover for most of the winter. One day I was hiking along its shore when I noticed these strange little bubbles enclosed in the ice. Later I found out that these bubbles are created from rising methane gas that is being released from the organic matter at the bottom of the lake. As the gas rises to the top it freezes as it comes in contact with the frozen water.
The Ice Bubbles black and white fine art print has a limited edition of only 100. Most other fine art photographers have a much higher limited edition number. The lower the number the higher is the value of the print.
