Description
At the end of a 6 week long photography expedition on Bolivia’s Altiplano crossing one of the most remote and wild places on earth I wanted to see the lowlands of the country from the air. For one week I chartered a plane that took me all the way from Santa Cruz to the northern corner of Bolivia’s Amazon basin. After reaching the town of Riberalta we took an afternoon flight above the Beni River and Madros de Dio River. The light filtering through the clouds and the reflections on the water topped off this already beautiful scene below me of the meandering river and the dense, unspoiled Amazonian rainforest.
