Iceberg in Scoresby Sund – Black & White Fine Art Nature Photography – Giants Of Ice
I photographed this image Giants of Ice showing giant icebergs in front of steep fjord cliffs during a ship cruise in Eastern Greenland.
My wife and I found these impressive sculptures of ice while we were leading a photography group to Scoresby Sound in East Greenland. Here, most of the giant icebergs of the northern hemisphere are born to start their long journey into vastness of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is hard to imagine that only 10% of the icebergs is above water when some icebergs are as tall as 15 story buildings.
Scoresby Sound is the largest fjord system in the world. The Arctic landscape here is nothing less than breathtaking.
The Giants Of Ice black and white fine art print has a limited edition of only 100. Most other fine art photographers have a much higher limited edition number.
