In May 2019 we experienced several big storms while cruising along Svalbard’s coasts in search of polar bears. Glacier Storm is a lasting memory for me of this particular expedition.
In Svalbard during late April and May most mountains are still covered under a thick layer of snow. The weather can change from clear and sunny to rainy, snowy or stormy just within a period of 24 hours. The changes of mood and light are a landscape photographer’s dream. I love everything in a landscape picture but too much blue sky.
The Glacier Storm black and white fine art print has a limited edition of only 100. Most other fine art photographers have a much higher limited edition number.
