Description
For 22 years I lived in Canada’s Yukon. The magic of the Territory’s unspoiled wilderness inspired me to become a full-time nature photographer in 1995, a move I never regretted. For many years I paddled most of its wild rivers in a canoe or hiked in the Kluane Mountains in front of my log home. It is hard to express my feelings for this unusual place in words.
I took this image in fall while on a photography shoot in the northern Yukon. The previous night had been cold and in the morning the boreal forest was covered in thick fog.
